Software Delivery Manager - Sibiu, Romania
We are looking for a Technical Software Delivery Manager to join our team to take responsibility for managing and driving our software development capability which is based at our offices in Sibiu, Romania. The candidate needs to have had hands on experience ofmanaging an application development group for a minimum 2 years as adevelopment manager, with a background in software engineering.
Specific Responsibilities
- Responsibility to manage the delivery of a portfolio of Software Development projects by Mi-Pay own staff and 3rd parties to meet delivery and budget timescales to the agreed quality levels.
- Lead and support estimating of projects and supporting Mi-Pay input to client budgetary or forecasting processes as required.
- Manage sanctioning process for all Software development deliverables.
- Ensuring that projects are properly estimated and that development and delivery plans fit with business requirements, escalating issues for resolution with the appropriate personnel.
- Initiate and manage projects within established Project Management methods (e.g. DSDM and Agile methodologies), ensuring the delivery & control of all artefacts (documentation, plans, prototypes, software, configuration management plans and other IT deliverables to quality standards).
- Effectively monitor & control the progress of many concurrent activities, spotting areas of potential slippage and taking timely corrective action to ensure the project is kept within schedule.
- Demonstrate sophisticated relationship-building capabilities; be able to constructively challenge business requirements with confidence whilst maintaining a sensitivity to conflicting issues.
- Develop a good understanding of Mi-Pay products, the role of Mi-Pay UK and create good, sustainable working relationships with the UK team
- Evaluate and manage issues and risks throughout the software delivery project, identifying cost effective countermeasures to control and minimise them to agreed quality standards. Report to the Head of Design and Development and Programme Manager projects, escalating issues and risks as far as necessary to resolve them.
- Manage the production of an effective delivery and test plan across the full IT development life cycle.
- Manage Change Control effectively, ensuring that the development team meets business needs and customer expectations with available resources and other development priorities.
- Provide a consolidated report on all development projects on an agreed regular basis highlighting progress against plan, expected milestones and deliverables, and commentary on the status of the project. Support and ensure that the handover to Operations is smooth with the agreed levels of documentation obtaining formal signed acceptance from Operations teams and Customers (as may apply from time to time). Ensure that End Stage/Post Project or Exit Reviews are conducted when appropriate and recorded to facilitate future learning in relation to the Software Development aspects.
- Demonstrate leadership skills to ensure successful project completion, identifying areas of conflict and using effective influencing and team skills to achieve workable compromises that maximise benefits to all parties

Java and Technical Support Developer - Sibiu, Romania
We are looking for a talented Java developer to assist in the ongoing development of our Mobile applications and provide support to our Banking partners and other Clients using our secure financial applications. In addition the role encompasses supporting the technical operations team handling production issues. The work involves some shift patterns and an on call rota to support a 24 X 7 operation. The role will be responsible for taking calls from our 1st line contact centre helpdesk and from Clients' help desks (in English), resolving technical problems to restore services and where necessary passing issues to our 3rd line support (in English) for longer term fixes and conclusion.
